Use a small break as an opportunity for exercise, change of scenery, and a chance to do something you enjoy or have some conversation.
Jim, Paige, and I (Piper is still on a mini vacation with the grandparents) recently started taking evening walks. Jim and I are both guilty of getting very sucked into our work, and sometimes forget to take little breaks. Having a full family day where we go to Disney World or what have you is great don't get me wrong, but I honestly forgot how good a little trip out of the house for a walk feels.
In our day and age it's easy to get lost in work or spend down time scrolling through our phones. I challenge you to get out and take a walk somewhere (preferably outside). But even if you have to drive to the mall to get up and moving - do whatever it takes to make it happen at least once a week if not every day.
We love to have a good conversation, be goofy, and just laugh a lot on our walks. To be perfectly honest, I went out and took a walk with just the baby and had an e-course playing in one ear. That's the beauty of it, you don't need to unplug completely if you don't want to.
But I encourage everyone - take a break, get out, and do a little moving.
